This is a selection of my paintings. I am focused on oils and acrylics at the moment.
The beauty of oils lays in their great brilliance and the fact that you can mix and refix colours throughout the whole duration of painting. The last touches of the casting sun on the hills can be literally put entirely at the end of the painting process and be smoothly blended to enrich already existing colours and by bringing them closer together to unify the whole painting.
Acrylics are completely different in that there drying time is so short in comparison to oils that it makes them perfect for complicated works full of detail. They let me achieve far greater accuracy. By applying multiple layers of paint I render lights and shadows achieving the illusion of the third dimension, which helps to bring the piece to life.
